The BPEC Domestic Gas Foundation Managed Learning Programme (MLP) training course is designed for candidates wanting to enter the gas industry.

Description

 The managed learning programme is accredited by BPEC, the program is for candidates who want to get into the Gas Industry. The programme is 40 weeks and is a combination of “Off the job” training for 280 hours (40 weeks) at our Gas Training Centre and “On the Job” training completing 420 hours of work-based evidence (Portfolio)

The managed learning program includes:

  • Core Gas including CPA1
  • CENWAT

 If you wish to complete further appliances these can be added to the end of the programme and require 14hours over 2 sessions of training and work-based evidence. If the candidates choose not to complete these appliances as part of the managed learning program they can complete them as initial appliances 12 months after successfully becoming Gas Safe registered.

  • HTR1 (Heaters)  

On successful completion of the managed learning program, which includes meeting the criteria for “on the job” and “off the job” BPEC will assess your portfolio to ensure it meets all the requirements, they will then issue you with a BPEC Gas Foundation Certificate which will enable you to book and complete your ACS CCN1 Initial Training and assessments.

The ACS CCN1 initial cost is £1390 + VAT (£1668.00)

Prerequisites

Trainees who lack gas training and experience will need to hold a recognised qualification in the mechanical services engineering sector (e.g. plumbing), or they will have gained a minimum of 2 GCSEs (Grade C) or equivalent, preferably English, Mathematics or relevant/appropriate experience or an entry assessment.

Candidates must be over the age of 18.
