Electro Technical Technology onsite portfolio NVQ 2357-44
Qualification for electrical workers to become fully qualified electricians and obtain ECS gold card by completing onsite portfolio evidence (NVQ) and AM2.
Onsite Performance Portfolio (Electrical NVQ)
3 – 12 Months
Our onsite performance portfolio (Electrical NVQ) is completed onsite, where you gather a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competency within the industry.
The Onsite Performance Portfolio (Electrical NVQ) is designed for candidates working in the electrical industry who wish to become fully qualified electricians and obtain their ECS gold card. By completing their Onsite Portfolio Evidence (NVQ), candidates can progress to undertake their AM2 assessment.
You are provided with our centre's bespoke online assessment pack and allocated a dedicated assessor to support you throughout your electrical NVQ journey. Your assessor will be your direct point of contact and will ensure the evidence you have submitted meets the criteria. Additionally, your assessor will conduct 2 site visits during the completion of your Electrical NVQ.
Evidence for the electrical NVQ is gathered through several methods of assessment, including job reports, reflective accounts, photographic evidence, risk assessments, method statements, and other criteria commonly used in day-to-day electrical work onsite.
The evidence criteria are against the following units:
- Unit 311 Applying Health and Safety Legislation and working practices (Installing and Maintaining Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment)
- Unit 312 Applying environmental legislation, working practices, and the principles of environmental technology systems.
- Unit 313 Overseeing and organising the work environment (Electrical Installation)
- Unit 315 Planning, preparing, and installing wiring systems and associated equipment in buildings, structures, and the environment.
- Unit 316 Terminating and connecting conductors, cables, and flexible cords in electrical systems.
- Unit 317 Inspecting, testing, commissioning, and certifying electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures, and the environment
- Unit 318 Diagnosing and correcting electrical faults in electrical systems and equipment in buildings, structures, and the environment.
The Electro Technical Technology onsite portfolio NVQ 2357-44 is an evidence-based portfolio that assesses the candidate’s competence in various Electrical installation works. This route is suitable for candidates who have completed 2365 Level 3 or equivalent technical qualifications. If candidates have completed one of the City and Guilds or EAL qualifications, they will be required to complete a small bridging unit.
Candidates are given 12 months to complete the onsite performance portfolio (Electrical NVQ), although most candidates typically take between 3 and 12 months to evidence their competence in a range of electrical installation work. The portfolio consists of 8 modules, each designed to meet specific criteria.
Upon completing the Onsite Performance Portfolio (Electrical NVQ) course and meeting the full range of criteria, you will be eligible to book your AM2 assessment.
You can book the Onsite Performance Portfolio (Electrical NVQ) online by selecting a course date, which marks the beginning of your 12-month period. Alternatively, our friendly sales and admin team can support your enquiry by calling 01273 934278.
