Our Electric Vehicle charging course is designed for candidates who wish to advance their careers by gaining the skills necessary to install and certify vehicle charging points. This course enables candidates to offer installation services for EV charging points in various environments, including domestic, on-street and commercial settings to their customers. 

The EV charging course aims to provide you with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of electrical vehicle charging equipment installation. It is designed for practicing electricians interested in installing a variety of available equipment and systems. The training covers specialized installation requirements for electric vehicle charging equipment in public, private, and commercial locations and includes exclusive guidance on electrical requirements.

We collaborate with some industry-leading brands such as Myenergi and Rolec, offering an overview of their products to support you in selecting the right equipment for your customers.

The 2921-31 Electric Vehicle Charging Installations course has pre-entry requirements. To enrol in this course, you must hold a JIB Gold Card or Level 3 equivalent qualification, along with the 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).

The training is delivered over 1.5 days. On the 2^nd day of the course, you will complete the required assessments.

The 2921-01 Electric Vehicle Charging Installations qualification includes a 45-minute, 28-question online multiple-choice exam, as well as a written assessment.

All candidates are required to have a copy of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation.
