What is an ECS Managers Card
An ECS Managers Card is issued by the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme, a UK-based certification body. The card is given to managers of electrical contractors who have been assessed and approved by the scheme. The card allows the holder to demonstrate their competence to manage electrical work following the scheme's standards.
The scheme is designed to improve safety and standards within the industry, and the Managers Card is a vital part of this.
The Managers Card allows holders to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage electrotechnical work safely and effectively. It also provides access to resources and support services, including the ECS Scheme website and the ECS hotline.
If you're an Electrician and hold a gold card and are looking to hold black, Tungsten Training Centre can help. If you are making an initial application for an ECS Managers card, you will need to meet both technical and Health & Safety qualification requirements, plus hold an ECS HS&E assessment.
To get one step closer to your black card, you can complete the required below course at Tungsten.
• Construction Skills (CITB) Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
• CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
The Managers Card is valid for five years, after which time holders must renew their card. Renewal is a simple process and can be done online.
The ECS Certification Scheme is widely recognised and respected within the industry, and the Managers Card is a valuable asset for those working in the electrotechnical sector.
