Level 3 Apprenticeship Route

This course is run one day a week in our purpose built training workshops. This allows you to work with your employer or sponsor on site for the rest of the week, gaining hands on experience you require.

The apprenticeships take between 3-4 years to complete depending on when you are able to gather evidence for your portfolio.

On completion you will be fully qualified in your chosen field.

6189 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Qualification

City & Guilds domestic heating and plumbing courses cover the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in domestic plumbing and heating. Areas of study include:

  • Domestic hot & cold water systems
  • Central heating systems
  • Sanitation systems
  • Environmental technologies
  • Gas safety

The NVQ Level 3 plumbing and heating qualification is aimed at anyone who has already completed the Level 2 qualification, or who already has some relevant experience and knowledge. If you choose gas-related units at Level 3 you will achieve the Gas Safe licence to practise on successful completion of the course.

5357 Electrotech Apprenticeship Qualification

This qualification is designed for learners wishing to gain an apprenticeship within the Electrotechnical industry. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems. On successful completion, learners will have achieved the industry desired level of competence required to carry out the specific roles.

This qualification is available at Level 3 only and aimed at learners wishing to commence a career within the Electrotechnical industry. Throughout your study you will cover a number of specialist subject areas. Some of these are the following:

  • Health and Safety legislation,
  • Environmental legislation,
  • Practices and procedures
  • Scientific Principles
  • Inspection and testing.
  • Fault finding and diagnosis.
